Disabled person: These plans for walkable cities are literally impossible for people who can’t travel long distances without motorized transport or who require large mobility aids to live in, we should probably work on that
Able bodied self-proclaimed “leftists”: Ugh disabled people are so petty! I can’t believe you’re this angry about the word “walkable!” You just want to make an issue out of everything!
gaining new followers is so embarrassing like hello and welcome, prepare to be disappointed! this is not a place a of honor!
To be fair if people are looking for a place of honour and they came to tumblr I don’t know how to tell them

Some would say, because I use mobility aids, I count as “visibly” disabled.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter.
Abled people still don’t see me. Or they see right through me. They don’t offer me a seat. They don’t get out of my way. They don’t educate their kids to not mess with my mobility aids.
Visibly disabled or not, when ableists choose to not see us, they don’t see any of us. To them, we’re all invisible.
